Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist with specimen handling, Ordering patient test and demographics
- Process and manage biological samples in accordance with CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) regulations and hospital policies
- Operate Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) to accurately record, track, and document laboratory data and specimen details
- Prepare samples for testing by performing centrifugation, labeling, and storage while maintaining sample integrity
- Support laboratory management by organizing supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards such as Basic Life Support (BLS) protocols
- Follow strict clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient information at all times
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment through proper sterilization techniques and aseptic practices
- Qualifications
- Prior experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting is highly desirable; familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy knowledge is essential
- Proficiency in laboratory management systems (LIS) and sample handling techniques
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures including phlebotomy (venipuncture), specimen processing
- Understanding of CLIA regulations, hospital protocols, and clinical confidentiality policies
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for managing multiple samples and data entries
- Ability to work effectively within a team in fast-paced environments
Hours:
Tuesday- Saturday
7:00AM-2:00PM
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
