Job Summary:
A well-established company in Memphis, TN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for their foundry plant. This position will work closely with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager to optimize manufacturing processes, analyze equipment layout, workflow efficiency, and workforce utilization. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to new capital equipment investments and ensure production goals are met. Key Responsibilities:
- Design production tooling using 2D & 3D software such as SolidWorks.
- Implement productivity improvements for current production lines.
- Perform root cause analysis of failures and recommend design or process changes.
- Design and implement production processes for new and existing products.
- Conduct FMEA's on new and existing products.
- Review product designs for manufacturability.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to optimize productivity methods.
- Lead exercises in design of experiments, lean manufacturing, and more.
- Lead design review meetings for new and existing products.
- Create work instructions, statement of work, spare parts inventories, and more.
- Implement automation, robotics, controls integration, and more.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.
- Tooling experience required.
- Project management experience.
- Automation experience including robotics and PLCs.
- Heavy manufacturing experience.
- Industry experience preferred.
- Foundry experience is a plus.
- Authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship.
