Compilations & Reviews
Financial statements are often required by third parties when attempting to secure financing, expand operations, and other numerous activities. When an audit is not required, we prepare compiled or reviewed financial statements. We work with our clients to ensure that the proper level of assurance is attained, utilizing financial statements that are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, or an Other Comprehensive Basis of Accounting.
Compilations are often sufficient for corporate management and most creditors. A compilation involves gathering your company's financial information and assembling it in financial statement format. We familiarize ourselves with accounting practices common to your industry and acquire a general understanding regarding the nature and environment specific to your business. Compiled statements are not audited or reviewed; therefore, no opinion is expressed.
A review provides limited assurance and an opinion that no material modifications need to be made to your financial statements. Reviews require a working knowledge of your industry and the most important aspects of your business. We are required to make inquiries relating to your financial statements and apply analytical procedures designed to identify unusual items or trends that my warrant further explanation.
