We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Heavy Duty Service Advisor specializing in trucks to join our fast-paced automotive service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking maintenance and repair services for their heavy-duty trucks. Your energetic approach will ensure a seamless customer experience, from initial inquiry through service completion, while leveraging your technical expertise to accurately diagnose issues and recommend appropriate solutions. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their concerns, and gather detailed information about truck issues to facilitate accurate diagnostics.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and schedule service appointments efficiently, ensuring timely turnaround for heavy-duty trucks.
- Provide transparent explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance procedures, including auto estimating and service writing, to help customers understand their options.
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, alignments, and other automotive diagnostics.
- Manage cash handling processes accurately while maintaining detailed records of all transactions and service orders.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair procedures specific to heavy-duty trucks and stay current with industry trends in automotive diagnostics and mechanical repair techniques.
- Foster positive relationships with customers through excellent communication and personalized service, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in service management and repair.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, air brakes, alignments, tire services, shocks & struts.
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics and auto estimating software to accurately assess repairs needed.
- Demonstrated ability in service writing and auto body repair processes for comprehensive vehicle care.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to upselling additional services such as oil changes or tire rotations.
- Experience in sales within an dealership environment with a focus on automobile sales is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining detailed records of all service activities. Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
