We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Controls Coordinator to support our field operations, project billing, material management, and equipment maintenance programs.
This position plays a critical role in helping project teams accurately track production quantities, forecast material requirements, manage inventory, and maintain equipment readiness across active airport construction projects.
Position Summary
The Project Controls Coordinator will collect, analyze, and manage project data related to concrete pavement rehabilitation operations. This individual will work closely with project managers, superintendents, estimators, mechanics, and accounting personnel to ensure accurate quantity tracking, material forecasting, inventory control, and equipment maintenance documentation.
The ideal candidate understands construction operations, enjoys working with data, and can translate field information into actionable reports that improve project performance and profitability.
Primary Responsibilities
Quantity Tracking
· Measure and document completed concrete pavement repairs, including:
· Full panel replacements
· Partial-depth panel replacements
· Spall repairs
· Joint rehabilitation activities
· Verify installed quantities for owner invoicing and project billing.
· Maintain daily production records and quantity reports.
Material Consumption & Forecasting
- Track material usage by repair type and production activity.
- Analyze historical production data to establish material consumption factors.
- Support estimating and project planning efforts through data-driven forecasting.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels
- Track material receipts, usage, transfers, and replenishment needs.
- Develop inventory reporting systems to improve purchasing efficiency.
- Coordinate with operations personnel to maintain accurate inventory records.
Equipment Maintenance Coordination
- Review equipment inspection reports from field crews.
- Identify maintenance and repair requirements.
- Generate and manage equipment work orders.
- Track repair status, maintenance schedules, and equipment downtime.
- Coordinate with mechanics and operations personnel to ensure fleet readiness.
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Maintain project databases
- Assist in generating reports for management regarding production, inventory, equipment status, and material utilization.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience in construction operations, project controls, estimating, field engineering, inventory management, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to read construction plans and understand quantity measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
- Experience with heavy civil construction.
- Experience with Excel and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance processes
