Kymera is seeking an experienced and proactive Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure the network infrastructure that supports critical healthcare operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise network systems across clinical and administrative environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in network administration, cybersecurity, and infrastructure management while supporting systems essential to patient care, healthcare applications, and organizational operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, and internet connectivity.
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of network services supporting clinical, administrative, and operational systems.
- Design, implement, and maintain network security controls to protect sensitive healthcare information and systems.
- Monitor network health, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
- Manage network configurations, firmware updates, patching, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Support the deployment and connectivity of healthcare technologies, including Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, medical devices, and telehealth solutions.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems administration, and application support teams to maintain a secure and compliant IT environment.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in infrastructure projects, technology upgrades, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, security standards, and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience administering enterprise network environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless networking, VPN technologies, and network security.
- Experience administering enterprise-class networking equipment and firewalls.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a mission-critical healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting hospitals, clinics, healthcare systems, or other regulated environments.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, cybersecurity frameworks, and healthcare security requirements.
- Experience with Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Meraki, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud networking technologies, Microsoft Azure, or hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Experience with network monitoring, performance management, and security tools.
