Western Low Voltage Inc. (WLOVO) is hiring a team‑oriented, safety‑driven Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) who thrives in a 2‑man crew environment and communicates clearly during check‑in/check‑out procedures. If you take pride in doing clean, safe, consistent work—and you enjoy traveling to new locations—this role is built for you.
You’ll work hands‑on with bucket trucks, utility poles, low‑voltage systems, and field installations while supporting the deployment of remote weather‑monitoring systems. No weather‑station experience required; we train you on all systems.
This position is ideal for someone who is experienced but coachable, dependable, and committed to looking out for their partner in the field.
What You’ll Do
- Install and service weather stations (full training provided)
- Operate bucket trucks and aerial lifts safely and confidently
- Work as part of a 2‑man crew, following structured check‑in/check‑out communication
- Perform utility‑pole installations, wiring, and equipment mounting
- Install and troubleshoot low‑voltage DC, solar, and battery systems
- Calibrate and replace sensors, antennas, and communication equipment
- Travel across multiple states for field deployments
- Maintain a strong safety mindset aligned with OSHA, DOT, and QEW standards

Required Experience
- Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW)
- IBEW‑eligible (current, apprentice, or previously trained)
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Lineman, Substation Tech, or similar utility role
- Bucket‑truck or aerial‑lift operation
- Strong understanding of low‑voltage DC, solar, and battery systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Word)
Safety & Compliance Requirements
- OSHA 30 (Required)
- CDL (Required)
- DOT Physical (Required)
- Commitment to WLOVO safety policies, PPE use, and vehicle/tool care

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
