‘Asmi Surfaces’ – is a leading distributor of Tile, Natural Stone, Quartz & Engineered slabs. With two distribution hubs in Kansas and St. Louis, we serve fabricators, builders, cabinet companies, kitchen & bath dealers, designers, and contractors.
As we continue to grow, we are expanding our sales team and seeking motivated 'Outside Sales Representatives' to help strengthen existing customer relationships while developing new business opportunities throughout the region.
Position Overview
This role combines territory development, account management, and customer relationship building. You will be responsible for growing sales with existing customers while actively identifying and developing new opportunities throughout the assigned territory.
Success in this role requires a strong work ethic, frequent customer interaction, disciplined follow-up, and a passion for building long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities while growing sales within existing customer accounts through regular prospecting, customer visits, product presentations, sampling, and territory development activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fabricators, kitchen & bath dealers, cabinet companies, builders, designers, and related customer segments through consistent communication, follow-up, and service.
- Promote and sell ASMI's Natural Stone, Quartz, Porcelain, and Engineered Slab products while identifying new market opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Coordinate customer requirements including quotations, samples, hand selections, deliveries, invoicing, and service support to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Establish, maintain, and refresh displays, sample towers, sample programs, and merchandising materials at customer locations.
- Coordinate closely with Inside Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams regarding quotations, samples, deliveries, returns, claims, and consignment inventory programs.
- Promote and establish ASMI products within builder, fabricator and kitchen & bath programs.
- Stay informed on product knowledge, market trends, customer opportunities, and competitive activity within the territory.
- Utilize company marketing tools including catalogs, brochures, website resources, showroom programs, email campaigns, and promotional materials to drive sales growth.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and submit weekly reports detailing customer visits, opportunities, pipeline activity, action plans, and territory development efforts.
- Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, including periodic overnight travel.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or account management.
- Experience in stone, countertops, tile, flooring, cabinetry, building materials, or related industries preferred.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable developing new business while managing existing accounts.
- Strong planning, CRM, and reporting discipline.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
