The Assisted Living Manager is responsible for the daily operations and general well-being of residents through the management and delivery of quality services in a manner that is consistent with Army Residence Community Assisted Living Program and complies with applicable State laws and regulations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hires, trains, motivates, supervises, and evaluates staff to ensure the provision of quality services to residents.
- Orients new staff. Develops in-service training and provides ongoing training of staff in order to provide high quality service consistent with the philosophy of assisted living.
- Receives and integrates feedback from the staff in an open manner.
- Provides feedback to staff on an ongoing basis regarding their interactions with residents.
- Utilizes appropriate "Customer Service" practices with all guests in the Assisted Living (i.e.,residents, visitors, family members, co-workers, students, etc.).
- Encourages and coordinates quality assurance practices within the Assisted Living Program.
- Applies skills of problem solving techniques to promote cooperation support from others.
- Performs basic bookkeeping and/or accounting functions accurately and in a timely manner to ensure compliance with established budget.
- Keeps up with employee timesheets and approves within payroll deadlines.
- Plans and delegates work assignments assuring effective scheduling on a 24-hour basis.
- Makes daily rounds of the building and ground to assure that there are no safety hazards.
- Understands and maintains compliance with State regulations and Army Residence Community policies and procedures. Keeps abreast of changes in regulatory compliance.
- Maintains budgeted census. Maintains records of all inquiry information.
- Provides tours of facility with ease.
- Completes Functional Evaluations per State regulation and Army Residence Community policies and procedures.
- Coordinates move-in and orients news new residents to the facility, ensuring satisfactory integration into the facility.
- Provides case management services to residents, ensuring the completion of per occupancy screening, assessment, reassessment, and the negotiated service plan in
- conjunction with the resident, resident's family, attendants, and other necessary individuals.
- Facilitates and encourages family involvement with residents.
- Updates service plans per State regulation and Army Residence Community policies and procedures.
- Supervises the performance of all aspects of direct care activities, monitors and maintains proper documentation. Ensures that significant changes in a resident's condition are reported to the responsible party and physician timely.
- Performs self-administration medication assessments and acts upon findings as indicated.
- Supports and participates in the resident-centered activity program.
- Documents and investigates resident incidents and notifies responsible party, physician, Health Care Administrator
- Shares in the responsibility for providing and maintaining an environment that is conductive to the safety and physical and emotional well-being of residents and personnel by appropriately interfacing with contracted services.
- Institutes corrective action in a timely manner of any identified safety hazard.
- Coordinates move-out, ensuring proper labeling and packing of resident's belongings, if necessary.

- Required to comply with other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties requested by their supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of three-year management experience in a healthcare related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience preferred.
- Successful completion of Assisted Living Manager certification course
- Must have the demonstrated ability to hire, direct, and manage personnel.
- Must possess strong organization and time-management skills.
- Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule which allows for on-call on a twenty-four (24) hour basis, seven (7) days per week. Some overnight may be required.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Standing, sitting, walking, handling, , pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching overhead, reaching forward, reaching low, stooping, kneeling, climbing, crouching, twisting motions, balancing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications including, Criminal background check and Drug screening.
