Job Summary
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant for a direct hire opportunity in Chino, CA. This full-time role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with 1 to 2 years of experience who enjoys variety, accuracy, and being part of a busy office team.
The Accounting Assistant will support day-to-day accounting and administrative functions, including invoicing, purchase orders, payroll entry, job documentation, and light inventory adjustments. Candidates with experience in construction, manufacturing, or a similar project-based environment are especially encouraged to apply.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to build a well-rounded accounting career in a stable business environment. The role offers exposure to multiple accounting functions, collaboration with internal teams, and the chance to contribute to the smooth operation of accounting, payroll, and job-related documentation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process invoices, billing documents, purchase orders, and related accounting paperwork.
- Perform purchase order entry and assist with 3-way matching for accurate vendor and job cost processing.
- Pull time clock reports and enter payroll information into ADP accurately and on schedule.
- Support job-related documentation, including waivers, liens, and certificate of insurance requests.
- Assist with phone coverage, general office support, and communication with vendors, insurance agents, and internal departments.
- Help with inventory adjustments and other accounting support tasks as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $20 to $23 per hour.
- Job type: Temp to hire, or Direct hire.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 1-hour lunch.
