Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team at our vibrant café. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages while providing exceptional service to our customers. Your role will involve creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the café's cleanliness and organization.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, taking their orders accurately and answering any questions they may have about the menu.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels by restocking supplies as needed and performing regular inventory checks.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain cleanliness in the café environment.
- Engage with customers to create a warm atmosphere, fostering repeat business through excellent service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus, along with knowledge of basic math for cash handling purposes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- A passion for coffee and customer service is essential for success in this role.
- Understanding of food safety practices within the food industry will be beneficial.
