About Mode
Mode is a bar built around how you want to feel. Located inside 4th Street Market, Orange County’s iconic food hall, Mode serves both functional NA and spirited cocktails designed to match your vibe: Awake, Social, Chill, Focused, and more. Our mission is to elevate how people drink, gather, and experience nightlife, blending culture, creativity, and conscious hospitality.
Mode sits at the center of a major million-dollar redevelopment of 4th Street Market, which is operated by the same ownership team. We also manage the market’s incubator kitchens and support an ecosystem of emerging food businesses. Mode Bar is currently under construction and launching in March. We’re building a team for long-term growth, not just opening day.
The Role
Mode is seeking Bartenders to join our opening team as we launch and shape a brand-driven cocktail experience inside 4th Street Market. This is a hands-on service role in a 25-seat bar with outdoor crossover and entertainment-forward energy. It is a tight space where service, speed, and atmosphere matter as much as what is in the glass.
You will work directly with the Beverage Director and leadership team to execute the beverage program to spec while helping define the standards, culture, and guest experience Mode will be known for. Experience level is flexible. Curiosity, composure, and coachability are required.
Key ResponsibilitiesBar Execution & Service
- Prepare and execute cocktails and NA offerings to spec
- Maintain speed, flow, and accuracy during high-volume service
- Deliver warm, confident hospitality and read the room effectively
- Keep the bar clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
Craft & Product Knowledge
- Maintain working knowledge of classic cocktails, specs, and spirit categories
- Follow batching, prep, and mise en place systems consistently
- Stay engaged in learning and refining technique
Team & Operations
- Support teammates during peak hours
- Participate in pre-shifts and training
- Follow inventory, prep, closing, and compliance procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and operational standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, including kegs and cases
- Comfort working in a compact, fast-paced environment

Compensation & Availability
- $16.90 per hour plus tips
- Full-time and part-time roles available
