We are looking for a dental assistant to work alongside our tenured team in a friendly and supportive environment. We are willing to train for many of our Timeless Smiles-specific tasks including taking PAN/CBCT and taking digital radiographs/impressions.
Dental Assistant: main role is to oversee day-to-day clinical operations of the office, alongside our EFDA, to ensure procedures are followed to allow the practice to thrive. The Dental Assistant is also responsible for assisting the dentist in clinical treatment of patients and assisting the front office (when needed) as described below.
Essential functions include:
- Records management including our daily morning huddle
- Patient management including taking radiographs and photos, assisting dentist during dental procedures, performing expanded function duties
- Treatment room management and sterilization
- Inventory management
Front desk duties (basic front desk duties- willing to train):
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments in Open Dental
- Checking patients in and helping with medical forms, as well as checking patients out and collecting payment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant required
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Open Dental and Carestream Imaging
- Proficiency in taking dental X-rays- we have a PAN/CBCT (will train)
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
- Ideal applicant will work Mon to Thurs, 8:30AM -5:30PM, going to 6PM on Wednesdays.
