Bartender - South Restaurant + Coffeehouse

Summary
The bartender's primary responsibility is to ensure guest satisfaction by providing an exceptional experience for our guests through exemplary customer service and high-quality production of specialty beverages. Basic duties are to make exceptional drinks for all guests in the restaurant, take guests’ orders, serve beverages, and maintain the bar by keeping it clean, organized, and stocked.
Operations
- Demonstrates expertise and knowledge of the bar menu and all preparation methods. Can make intelligent recommendations based on guests' personal preferences and food choices.
- Knows food menu well, including ingredients, preparation methods, and substitution options. Can make relevant suggestions and answer questions to the best of their ability.
- Has an in-depth knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
- Ensures all drinks are made to the recipe and makes sure they are properly garnished before serving.
- Works with other staff to keep the entire bar tidy and organized at all times.
- Has a clear understanding of ABC regulations and restaurant policies and ensures only responsible levels of alcohol are consumed.
- Weekend availability required
- AM & PM availability is a must
Other Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of bartending experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to communicate, write, and understand English
- Must possess basic math skills and be able to operate a cash register and POS system
- Must have a current municipality-approved Food Worker card and TAP card
