We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Early Elementary Lead Teacher to join our school community. The Lead Teacher will create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth for young learners in the early elementary grades.
This role includes planning and delivering high-quality instruction, managing classroom routines, assessing student progress, collaborating with families and staff, and helping students build confidence and independence as learners. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, committed to child-centered learning, and able to create meaningful learning experiences that meet the needs of all students.
Duties
Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
Create and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student success and well-being.
Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of diverse learners.
Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records of student growth and achievement.
Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school events.
Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and administration to support student learning and school initiatives.
Incorporate hands-on learning experiences, literacy development, math instruction, and social-emotional learning into daily lessons.
Support classroom management using positive behavior strategies and clear expectations.
Prepare classroom materials, maintain classroom organization, and create engaging learning spaces.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide activities and events.
Serve as a positive role model while fostering independence, creativity, confidence, and respect among students.
Experience
Prior teaching experience in an elementary school or early childhood/elementary setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of elementary education practices, child development, and curriculum planning.
Experience with lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment.
Ability to differentiate instruction and support a variety of learning styles and abilities.
Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills are required.
Experience working collaboratively with families and educational teams is highly desirable.
