Medical Assistant / LPN – Full-Time
Mountain Family Medicine is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and organized Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our busy family medicine practice.
This position plays a vital role in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, communicates well, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Position Details
- Full-Time
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No nights, weekends, or major holidays
Responsibilities
- Triage patients and obtain vital signs
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
- Process prescription refill requests
- Communicate test results and provider recommendations to patients
- Schedule appointments and assist with patient flow
- Submit prior authorization requests for medications and procedures
- Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, pharmacies, hospitals, and specialists
- Answer phone calls and address patient concerns professionally
- Assist providers with clinical and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Current Kentucky LPN license OR Medical Assistant certification/experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and EMR proficiency
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Previous medical office experience preferred but not required for the right candidate
