Duties
- Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge to assist with their needs
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations and explain features to promote sales and upselling opportunities
- Operate POS systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, cash register operations, and cash handling
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and assisting with merchandising efforts
- Handle retail store product knowledge inquiries, offering clear information on various items including grocery products when applicable
- Assist with inventory management through stock replenishment and stocktaking activities
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or coordinating sales over the phone
- Support supervising staff in daily operations, including cashiering, customer service excellence, and ensuring store standards are met
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both bilingual settings (English and additional languages) is a plus
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices is desirable
- Ability to perform stocking duties efficiently while maintaining safety standards
- Excellent phone etiquette skills for professional communication with customers and team members
