Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and proactive Assist Driver/Warehouse Worker to join our logistics team. This role involves supporting delivery operations and managing warehouse tasks to ensure the smooth flow of goods from storage to customer delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and experience in warehouse handling. Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Assist with route driving, ensuring timely deliveries to customers while maintaining professional customer service standards.
- Support warehouse operations by moving inventory, organizing stock, and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing items.
- Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit, ensuring compliance with weight handling regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Follow all safety protocols during manual handling, moving heavy loads, and operating equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate deliveries, resolve issues, and provide excellent service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse area to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in manual handling, heavy lifting, and equipment operation.
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles preferred.
- Knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and DOT regulations applicable to commercial drivers.
- Experience with delivery driver roles or courier services is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with forklift operation, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and weight handling in the workplace.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude.
- Ability to work physically demanding shifts involving moving heavy loads repeatedly.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
