Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and inspiring Modern Worship Leader to lead our congregation in vibrant, contemporary praise and worship experiences. This role involves guiding our contemporary musical team, selecting meaningful music, and fostering a spirit of community and spiritual growth through engaging musical worship. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a growing faith in Jesus Christ, musical expertise, and a passion for nurturing faith through music. Duties
- Lead praise and worship during church services, ensuring a dynamic and spiritually enriching experience
- Manage and coordinate the modern music team, including vocalists, instrumentalists
- Select appropriate musical repertoire that aligns with themes and enhances the worship experience
- Conduct weekly rehearsals to prepare the team for upcoming services, focusing on musical quality and spiritual engagement
- Mentor and train musicians in vocal techniques and musical instruments
- Oversee the management of modern worship for special seasonal services (Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday)
- Lead with professionalism, enthusiasm, and clarity in conducting praise and worship music
- Maintain communication with church leadership regarding music planning, team scheduling, and resource needs
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages spiritual growth through music ministry participation
- Work closely with the Technology Team in planning weekly resources
Qualifications
- Proven experience in contemporary worship leadership
- Strong knowledge of current modern worship music and ability to select appropriate worship music
- Skilled in leading music teams effectively
- Proficiency in playing instruments such as piano or other keyboard instruments or guitar
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with pastors, staff, volunteers, and congregation members
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities while fostering a positive team environment
- Familiarity with managing musical instruments during live performances and rehearsals as well as current worship technology such as ProPresenter, Multitracks, IEMs
- Previous experience in faith-based organizations is preferred but not required

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
