American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Respiratory position requiring a minimum of three years of nursing experience and an active IL RN license.

Work in the Medical Respiratory (7C Med Resp) unit of a hospital environment
-
12-hour day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
-
36 hours per week across 3 days per week
-
Rotating weekend and holiday shifts required
-
May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital

Uses Epic charting system
-
Active Illinois RN license in good standing
-
BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
-
ASN required; BSN preferred
-
Epic EMR charting experience required
-
Serve as the primary caregiver for an assigned group of patients, applying the nursing process to deliver individualized care

Complete initial patient assessments and develop care plans based on patient and family needs
-
Implement and modify care plans based on ongoing evaluation of patient status
-
Report and correct safety hazards to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
-
Participate in professional development by offering constructive feedback to peers and expanding personal knowledge base
-
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment

RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract

Contingent workers may not continuously work at Carle Health locations for more than 1 year without either converting to a permanent role or taking a 6-month break in service
