Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects of various sizes across multiple locations on Military Installations, nationwide.
This role offers the opportunity to work with and manage diverse teams, coordinate complex schedules, and ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software.
As a Traveling Superintendent, you will be the primary point of contact on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout each phase of construction.
Responsibilities
This position REQUIRES full time travel at various locations in the United States. This travel results in extended timeframe on job sites at various locations across the United States.
- Hands on training, efficiency development and quality control inspections. This position requires Superintendent to be involved with labor crews, vendors, subcontractors at a hands-on level to ensure proper project completion
- Lead, Supervise and Train construction crews across multiple project sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to track progress and coordinate activities effectively.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to verify project scope and technical accuracy.
- Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
- Coordinate procurement, subcontractor activities, labor team activities and material deliveries using construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
- Oversee contract administration, change orders, and project documentation to maintain transparency and accountability.
- Facilitate communication between clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure work meets specified standards and schematics are correctly followed.
- Utilize tools such as Ohmmeter for electrical testing when required on-site.
- Access to Military Installations is a requirement for this Position, this requires a clear criminal background check to be completed
Experience
- Proven management experience supervising construction sites with a focus on Residential/MultiFamily Construction and Renovations.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, project scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, and construction estimating processes.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with a track record of leading diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and implementing comprehensive safety programs on-site.
- Hands-on construction site experience in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and use measurement tools like an ohmmeter for electrical work when necessary.
- Excellent management skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making in dynamic settings.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
