Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong background in retail sales, particularly in high-end products like flooring. This role involves engaging with customers, providing exceptional service, and assisting with product selection to enhance their shopping experience. A successful Retail Sales Associate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This position is commission-based with high incentives and bonuses available to reward top performers.
Important Requirement: Must have a minimum of 3 years of flooring sales experience to be considered. Applications with no flooring sales experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored product recommendations.
- Conduct product demonstrations and assist customers with inquiries regarding features and benefits.
- Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and inventory levels to effectively assist customers.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist in stocking merchandise, organizing displays, and maintaining an appealing store layout.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Manage account information for repeat customers and assist with any follow-up inquiries or concerns.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred; experience in high-end sales is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of flooring sales experience required.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Experience with CAD or SketchUp for layout design is desirable but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of renovation, construction, interior design, or lighting design can enhance customer interactions.
- Multilingual abilities are an asset, contributing to effective communication with diverse clientele.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining inventory and merchandising standards.
- Excellent communication skills are required to engage effectively with customers and team members alike.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
