About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. This position is responsible for supporting the daily operations of our catering company and restaurant concept while ensuring exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and team accountability.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to adapt as business needs change. No two days are the same. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple priorities, leading people, solving problems, and stepping in wherever support is needed.
What You'll Do
- Assist in leading the daily operations of the business.
- Help oversee catering events, corporate dining accounts, restaurant operations, and FoodWorks programs.
- Manage event logistics and ensure successful execution.
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, coach, and develop employees.
- Assist with employee performance management, corrective coaching, and terminations when necessary.
- Support scheduling and staffing to meet operational needs.
- Build positive relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Utilize Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams, for reporting, communication, and daily operations.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Support company leadership in maintaining quality, efficiency, and profitability.
- Lead by example and help create a positive, accountable workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Leadership experience in catering, hospitality, restaurant, or event management.
- Experience coordinating events and managing multiple priorities.
- Experience interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing employees.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to make confident day-to-day decisions with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
