Responsibilities
- Assist with asphalt paving operations, including spreading, leveling, and compaction to meet project specifications.
- Set up traffic control for work zones to ensure safety for workers and motorists during construction activities.
- Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and use of hand tools and power tools to complete various construction duties.
- Support utility locating efforts and coordinate with other crews to ensure safe excavation around underground utilities.
- Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and highway maintenance procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely in outdoor environments on construction projects.
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, welding, and basic mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment.
- Strong understanding of traffic control for work zones and utility locating procedures.
- Excellent outdoor work experience with a focus on safety standards in heavy equipment operation and construction site management.
