Job Overview
In this vital role, you will be the backbone of daily operations. You will be in charge bringing fish into the processing plant, removal and disposal of trimmings, organizing boxes and pallets leaving the processing plant, and heading or assisting in maintenance and repair of plant infrastructure and equipment.
Duties
- Assist with the setup, operation, and monitoring of food processing equipment in compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
- Support sanitation efforts by cleaning and sanitizing production areas, equipment, and packaging stations to ensure food safety and prevent contamination
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues with processing machinery by reporting problems promptly and supporting maintenance teams as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a food industry or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge or experience working with processing equipment will be advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety
