Responsibilities:
· Develop mechanical design solutions for new and existing products, such as specialty air conditioners, heat exchangers, centrifugal blowers, and fans for heat sensitive applications.
· Support the fabrication and assembly of prototypes and final products.
· Support the production process by resolving any assembly or operational issues as they arise.
· Lead and participate in laboratory testing and conduct analysis and simulations to optimize designs for performance and efficiency.
· Participate in the development of assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, production procedures and reporting for product safety programs (e.g., UL/CE).
· Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
· Create accurate Bill of Materials.
· Create and finalize designs to meet project requirements.
· Provide technical support to external and internal customers.
· Conduct field visits as needed.
· Work with sales to interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget.
Job Requirements:
· A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
· Three or more years of related job experience.
· Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Word, Excel
· Strong fundamental knowledge of mechanical design and its application in HVAC, refrigeration, and cooling systems.
· Electrical power and control systems design related to air conditioners, fan and blower applications.
· Demonstrated experience in electromechanical product design.
· Experience in product testing in a lab environment.
· Critical and analytical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
· Proactive, resourceful, and highly motivated with good communication skills, and the ability to work in a high output environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
