Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator/Foreman to lead construction projects with precision and efficiency. In this role, you will oversee the operation of various heavy machinery, coordinate on-site activities, and ensure safety standards are upheld at all times. Your expertise will drive project success, from excavation to paving, while maintaining a productive and safe work environment. Responsibilities
- Operate a wide range of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, horizontal drilling rigs, and paving machinery with skill and safety.
- Lead and supervise construction crews on-site, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
- Oversee site safety protocols, enforce OSHA standards, and promote a culture of safety among team members.
- Collaborate with project managers to plan daily operations, monitor progress, and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Manage material deliveries and coordinate the movement of construction materials using commercial driving skills.
- Ensure all operations comply with environmental regulations and company policies.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators (including Caterpillar models), dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and horizontal drilling rigs in a construction environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and efficiently.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in supervising construction crews or as a foreman on large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record preferred.
- Experience working on diverse construction projects including paving, grading, excavation, water management, and site preparation is highly desirable.
