We provide compassionate, individualized services designed to strengthen emotional, behavioral, and everyday functioning.
As we expand our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program, we are seeking dependable and compassionate Registered Behavior Technicians who are passionate about working with children and making a meaningful difference in their lives.
Position Summary
The Registered Behavior Technician will provide one-on-one ABA services to children and adolescents under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Services may be provided in clients’ homes, foster homes, group homes, schools, or other approved community-based settings.
The RBT will implement individualized behavior treatment plans, teach functional skills, collect accurate data, and collaborate with the supervising BCBA and members of the client’s treatment team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direct, one-on-one ABA therapy under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention and skill-acquisition plans as written.
- Help clients develop communication, social, self-help, coping, safety, and daily living skills.
- Use reinforcement and other evidence-based ABA strategies to increase positive behaviors.
- Follow approved procedures for reducing behaviors that interfere with the client’s functioning or safety.
- Collect accurate data during each session and report relevant behavioral observations.
- Complete session notes and all required documentation accurately and within established deadlines.
- Prepare materials and activities needed to implement treatment goals.
- Follow behavior support and crisis-management procedures when applicable.
- Participate in supervision, competency evaluations, team meetings, and required training.
- Communicate professionally with clients, parents, caregivers, BCBAs, and other treatment-team members.
- Protect client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, BACB standards, organizational policies, and applicable state and federal requirements.
- Maintain professional boundaries and provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed services.
- Travel to assigned service locations within Houston and surrounding areas.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Registered Behavior Technician certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Active status on the BACB RBT Registry.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Experience or a strong interest in working with children and adolescents with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs.
- Ability to follow clinical instructions and implement treatment plans consistently.
- Ability to collect data and complete accurate, timely documentation.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance.
- Willingness and ability to travel to client locations within Houston, Dallas, Austin and surrounding areas. Only one primary area will be serviced based on where applicant resides.
- Ability to pass required criminal-history, abuse/neglect registry, and other applicable background checks.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification before providing services.
- Reliable access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer for scheduling, communication, and documentation.
- Must have afternoon, evening, and weekend availability.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of experience providing ABA services.
- Experience working with children in homes, foster homes, group homes, schools, or community-based settings.
- Experience working with children who have autism spectrum disorder, intellectual or developmental disabilities, trauma histories, or challenging behaviors.
- Experience with electronic health records and data-collection systems.

Physical and Work Requirements
The RBT must be able to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Depending on the client’s treatment plan, duties may include sitting on the floor, standing, bending, walking, moving between activities, and actively participating in play-based interventions. The RBT must also be able to respond appropriately to behavioral or safety concerns in accordance with training and the client’s approved treatment plan.

Because services are delivered in clients’ natural environments, the RBT must be comfortable working independently while remaining closely connected to the supervising BCBA and treatment team.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
