Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, including collecting vital signs and updating medical histories
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and ensure cleanliness and readiness for patient visits
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, including medication administration and basic life support when needed
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently by documenting patient information, ICD coding, and medical history accurately
- Conduct patient intake assessments, including recording vital signs, updating medication lists, and explaining procedures clearly
- Support diagnostic procedures such as X-ray preparation or basic physiology assessments under supervision
- Coordinate with hospital teams for inpatient or outpatient care, ensuring seamless communication and documentation across departments
Qualifications
- Prior experience in clinical settings such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or emergency medicine is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration techniques
- Experience working with EHR systems and managing patient records efficiently
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required
- Familiarity with specialized areas such as dermatology, geriatrics, medical-surgical units, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room), or Level I/II trauma centers is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence and team collaboration
- Ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure environments like urgent care or emergency medicine settings
