Guam Radiology Consultants is the largest and most advanced Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology center in the Western Pacific. We service all the major hospitals in our region and operate during regular clinic hours from: 8AM – 6PM, Monday to Friday and 8AM – 1PM on Saturday.
We are looking for a full-time, Registered Nurse to join our team. Guam is a 225 Sq. mile beautiful island community in the Western Pacific. JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Permanent Employee – Full Time
Job Description:
Outpatient nursing in a clinic setting with emphasis on assisting in procedure, including interventional radiology and interventional cardiology procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Explain procedures to patients and their families, assess their needs and prepare them for procedure.
· Assist radiologists with procedures, including inserting intravenous lines, administering medications and contrast dyes, and monitoring patients.
· Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and over well-being during and after procedure.
· Provide post-procedure care, including pain management, wound care, and discharge planning.
· Work closely with radiologists, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and optimal care.
· Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of equipment used in IR Suite.
· Accurately document patient assessments, procedures and care provided.
· Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control measures.
· Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in interventional radiology and nursing practices.
· Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
SKILLS:
· Routine skills expected of an RN working in the out-patient environment.
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
EDUCATION:
· Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution of higher education.
· Current/Active State RN License, required.
EXPERIENCE:
· 1 - 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), preferred. New graduates also welcome!
· 1 - 2 years critical care experience with IV skills, Radiology, Cardiology, Surgical and/or Medical Experience (i.e. Medical Assistant, EMT, CNA), highly preferred.
· 1 - 2 years of experience with Medical software or EMR, preferred.
SCHEDULE:
Work Week: Monday-Friday (7:00AM-4:00PM, 8:00AM-5:00PM or 9:00AM-6:00PM); Emergency work hours (STAT cases) occasionally needed to satisfactorily complete job duties.
Weekend Work Required: Flexibility to work every other Saturday (7:00AM-12:00PM or 8:00AM-1:00PM)
