Bring Strategic Firepower to Our Fast-Growing Digital Team
Kalen Marketing Solutions is a strategy-first marketing firm that builds custom campaigns for businesses ready to grow. We’re looking for a Digital & Social Media Strategist who can take a client’s goals and turn them into a clear, effective digital marketing strategy.
This is a mid-level role for someone who understands that good marketing is about more than managing individual platforms. You should be able to look at the bigger picture, understand the audience, determine the right channels and messaging, and build a plan that ties everything together.
You’ll work across paid advertising, social media, email, automation, and other digital channels to develop and manage campaigns that are built around real business goals. You’ll also work closely with our consultants, designers, content creators, and web team to make sure all of the pieces of a campaign are working together.
We’re looking for someone who can confidently answer “What should we do, why should we do it, and how will we know if it worked?”
What You’ll DoStrategy & Campaign Planning
- Develop digital marketing strategies based on each client’s goals, audience, budget, and overall marketing objectives.
- Turn client goals into clear campaign plans that outline the audience, messaging, channels, tactics, budget, and desired outcomes.
- Determine the right mix of paid advertising, social media, email, automation, and other digital tactics for each campaign.
- Develop campaign briefs and provide direction to creative and content team members.
- Think through the customer journey and how different marketing channels can work together to move someone from awareness to action.
- Look for opportunities to improve or expand campaigns based on performance, client needs, and changing market conditions.
Paid & Organic Digital Marketing
- Build, manage, and optimize campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Develop audience and targeting strategies, including geo-targeting, remarketing, custom audiences, and segmentation.
- Develop and manage social media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.
- Plan social content around larger campaign goals rather than simply filling a content calendar.
- Work with content creators to develop social posts, ads, visuals, and short-form video that support campaign messaging and objectives.
- Understand the differences between organic social and paid social and how they can work together.
- Stay current on social media trends, platform changes, audience behavior, and opportunities for clients.
- Set up and manage email and SMS campaigns and workflows through platforms such as HighLevel, HubSpot, or Mailchimp.
- Support CRM segmentation, tagging, and integrations with websites and landing pages.
Analyze & Optimize
- Monitor campaign and social media performance and identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Use performance data to make decisions about budget, targeting, messaging, creative, content, and channel strategy.
- Test different approaches and continually refine campaigns based on what the data is telling you.
- Look beyond surface-level metrics and understand how digital marketing activity is contributing to the client’s larger goals.
- Create monthly performance reports and dashboards using Looker Studio and platform reporting tools.
- Clearly communicate what is happening, why it is happening, and what you recommend doing next.
- Stay up to date with changes across digital advertising, social media, analytics, and marketing technology.
Collaboration
- Participate in strategy sessions, creative briefings, campaign planning meetings, and client discussions.
- Work closely with consultants to understand client priorities and turn them into actionable marketing strategies.
- Give direction to content, creative, and web team members so their work supports the larger campaign strategy.
- Collaborate across departments to keep campaigns moving and make sure everyone understands the goal.
- Manage multiple clients and campaigns while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
- Look for ways to improve both campaign performance and our internal processes.
