American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Mixed Acuity (PICU/Hem-ONC) position requiring dual PICU and hematology/oncology experience and Epic Beacon proficiency.
-
19-bed integrated pediatric unit consisting of 5 PICU beds, 7 step-down beds, 7 med-surg beds, and 1 treatment room

Pediatric patient population ranging from birth through 18 years of age across all 23 pediatric specialties

Wide range of acuity and patient complexity, including critical care and hematology/oncology cases

Traveler may be assigned to staff the PICU or serve as a Hem/ONC RN depending on unit census

PICU staffed with 4 RNs per shift

Day/night rotation, 36 hours per week

Uses Epic with Beacon platform

Active NH or Compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma setting

Dual clinical experience in both PICU and hematology/oncology required

Extensive knowledge of pediatric cancers, therapies, and this patient population required

Familiarity with Epic's Beacon platform required

2 manager references required for consideration

Candidate must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

Responsible for providing care across a wide range of pediatric diagnoses and specialties

Must be comfortable working within a smaller critical care team environment
