Overview:
LaPluma Coffee and Wine is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team! The ideal candidate is experienced, dependable, and passionate about providing an elevated guest experience—whether it’s a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.
This role involves creating a warm and welcoming experience for all guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling payments, and maintaining a clean work space. A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to multitask are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver orders promptly with attention to presentation and service standards
- Operate the TOAST POS system for order entry and cash/card transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service
- Upsell menu items and make thoughtful recommendations to guests
- Assist fellow team members during busy shifts to ensure consistent quality service
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a server or food service role required. 2+years.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Able to work evenings and weekends
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with POS systems (TOAST preferred)
- Must be 21+ (due to wine service)
