What we’re looking for
Backyard Fence leaders are expected to coach teams of both new and seasoned workers to provide friendly service to our valuable clients, ensuring that each experience reflects our commitment to providing the quality that defines our brand. For the Fence Foreman, this means leading and overseeing day-to-day fence installation projects while assuming responsibility for managing crew members on-site, ensuring quality workmanship, and keeping projects on schedule and within scope.
Your Day-to-Day
- Oversee daily fence installations and supervise on-site crew performance to ensure quality work
- Address on-site client questions or concerns to ensure satisfaction and uphold Backyard Fence’s service standards
- Monitor on-site material usage and inventory needs to minimize downtime and reduce waste
- Troubleshoot and resolve field challenges such as crew absences, unexpected conditions, or delays
- Train crew members on proper installation techniques, safety procedures, and site protocols to build a skilled and dependable team
What you bring to Backyard Fence
- At least two to five years of foreman experience in fence installation
- Proficiency in reading site plans, evaluating job scope, and applying problem-solving skills in the field
- Strong leadership, communication, and client interaction skills to ensure professionalism and high-quality service on every job site
- Valid driver’s license and physical ability to navigate job sites and operate necessary equipment
- Ability to demonstrate, encourage, and lead by example in alignment with Backyard Fence’s culture and values
- Proactively identify on-site improvements, take ownership of responsibilities, and resolve issues independently to keep projects moving forward
- Exhibit enthusiasm, professionalism, and knowledge about Backyard Fence’s services and standards of quality

The current range is: $30-36 per hour based on experience.

*Monday – Friday 7 – 5. Overtime and Saturday work required when necessary due to inclement weather or heavy work load
