Position Overview
- Experienced hygienists preferred but not required; new graduates welcome!
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, scaling and root-planing
- Conduct patient dental assessments
- Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures using gentle, age-appropriate techniques for young patients
- Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment notes
- Provide dental education to patients
- Support dentists during procedures through chair-side assisting, including handing instruments and managing suction
- Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Requirements
- Valid state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards (including HIPAA compliance)
- Ability to perform dental imaging and take accurate vital signs and medical histories
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients
