Mechanical Contracting Field Foreman (30% Travel)
Are you an experienced field leader in the Mechanical Contracting industry ready to step into a pivotal role with an established industry leader? On behalf of our client, a premier provider of industrial mechanical solutions, we are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Field Foreman / Supervisor to drive project success.
This role is built for a proven mechanical leader who excels in the field—balancing complex mechanical assembly, structural rigging, equipment installations, and rigorous safety standards while keeping field projects on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
· Field & Site Leadership: Oversee day-to-day mechanical contracting projects, structural installations, and field maintenance operations. Serve
as the on-site leader ensuring total compliance with safety regulations while driving a high-performing field crew.
· Mechanical Execution & Assembly: Lead and perform hands-on assembly, rigging, and precision installation of heavy industrial machinery and equipment. Utilize hand/power tools and welding/fabrication skills to solve complex mechanical challenges on-site.
· Project Tracking & Scheduling: Coordinate field crew schedules, delegate daily tasks to meet strict contract deadlines, and utilize construction/project management software for seamless field reporting and tracking.
· Safety Advocacy: Maintain active OSHA standards to assess, implement, and train team members on strict site safety guidelines. Ensure a zero-incident culture on every job site.
· Client & Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and general contractors on-site, providing clear progress updates while mentoring and training field crew members to elevate their technical skills.
· Fleet & Asset Care: Oversee the regular upkeep and readiness of assigned company service vehicles and field tools.
What It Takes to Succeed:
· Mechanical Contracting Background: At least 2 years of proven supervisory, foreman, or crew leadership experience specifically within a mechanical contracting, industrial construction, millwright, or heavy mechanical environment.
· Hands-on Field Experience: A minimum of 1 year of dedicated experience in heavy mechanical assembly, machinery installation, industrial maintenance, or field service.
· Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to interpret complex blueprints, mechanical schematics, structural drawings, and P&IDs. Proficiency with welding, rigging, and industrial hand/power tools is required.
· Software & Logistics: Familiarity with project scheduling or construction/field management software, alongside strict adherence to mechanical QA/QC standards.
· Travel & Commute: Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the year (including overnight and long-distance stays for project delivery). Candidates must reside
within a reasonable commuting distance of the Blandon, PA headquarters.
· Licensing & Screening: Must possess a valid Driver’s License and successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening (strict drug-free workplace policy).
