Part-Time Middle & High School Teacher / Mentor
Gryffin Learning Center is seeking a part-time teacher to work with our older middle and high school students. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with adolescents, is comfortable teaching across multiple subject areas, and can bring enthusiasm, flexibility, and real-world skills into the classroom.

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
15 hours per week
Compensation
$15 per hour
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will provide academic instruction and support in a variety of subjects while helping our older students develop independence, confidence, responsibility, and practical life skills.
Because we are a small microschool, our teachers have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students and provide individualized attention. We are looking for someone who is willing to wear multiple hats and contribute to the overall life of the school.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and academic support in:
- Language Arts
- Math
- Reading
- Science
- History
- Help students stay organized, complete assignments, and develop effective study habits.
- Work with students at different academic levels and provide individualized assistance when needed.
- Encourage students to take ownership of their education and grow in independence.
- Create a positive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment.
- Reinforce the values and Christ-centered educational philosophy of Gryffin Learning Center.
- Communicate appropriately with school leadership regarding student progress, challenges, and successes.
- Assist with classroom routines, supervision, and other day-to-day school needs.

Qualifications
- Experience working with middle or high school-aged students preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach or support multiple academic subjects.
- Dependable, patient, and enthusiastic.
- Comfortable working with students who have different learning styles and academic abilities.
- Willingness to support the school's Christ-centered mission and educational philosophy.
- A degree or teaching experience is preferred but may not be required for the right candidate.
