SENIOR CNC BRIDGE MILL OPERATOR: 2:30PM-10:30PM

ELSNER Engineering is seeking an accomplished CNC Bridge Mill Operator for our first-shift manufacturing team. This is a high-level opportunity for a machinist who can take ownership of complex work, perform challenging setups, and consistently produce accurate parts.
This is not an entry-level or machine-tending position. We are looking for a skilled professional who understands the entire machining process—from reviewing the print and planning the setup through machining and final inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC bridge mill equipment
- Machine large, complex, and close-tolerance components
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, specifications, and GD&T
- Plan setups, workholding, tooling, speeds, and feeds
- Establish work offsets and make necessary machine adjustments
- Safely handle and accurately position large workpieces
- Inspect completed work using precision measuring equipment
- Identify and resolve tooling, setup, quality, and machining issues
- Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation
- Work closely with engineering, quality, and other members of the manufacturing team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience operating CNC bridge mills or comparable large-format CNC equipment
- Proven ability to perform complex setups independently
- Experience machining large, high-value, or close-tolerance parts
- Strong blueprint-reading and shop-math skills
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and other inspection tools
- Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, speeds, and feeds
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and make sound machining decisions
- Consistent attention to quality, safety, and detail
- Dependable attendance and a professional attitude
- CNC programming or program-editing experience is a plus
