Technicians are the face of Higgins Overhead Door for both contractors and customers. You will meet with both in the field at their home or business to provide 5-Star Customer Service and to ensure their door is operating flawlessly again.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Installation and service of new and existing overhead doors and operators
- Loading and unloading service trucks and deliveries
- Accurate measurements and precision installations with minimal call-backs
- Developing knowledge of and changing current habits in favor of best installation methods and techniques
- Adjusting to variable job and working conditions
- Expanding product and industry knowledge
- Communicate with customers, contractors, and HOD office staff
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Garage/Overhead Door, Construction, and/or Mechanic experience strongly preferred
- Will train for mechanically inclined individuals without experience in our training facility and/or on the job
- Must be prompt, maintain excellent attendance
- Strong attention to detail with high standards of quality
- Presentable appearance with good hygiene
- Integrous and respectful
- Able to talk to and be courteous to customers
- Works well with others and is a team player
- Must possess strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Mechanical ability is a must!
- Be physically able to lift heavy objects above the head properly, bend down at the knees and waist, able to work in tandem lifting with others, and climb ladders properly and safely.
- Proper knowledge and use of hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license is a must
- Detail oriented
- Pride in one's work is a must

Pay is based upon experience in overhead doors and/or construction.
