Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision-engineered components. Duties
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc controls or similar systems
- Develop and modify CNC programs through CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming software to optimize machining processes
- Interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to produce precise parts
- Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and ensure tooling is properly installed and maintained for optimal performance
- Conduct quality inspections utilizing precision measurement tools and ensure parts meet strict manufacturing standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, machine settings, and inspection results in compliance with lean manufacturing practices
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or equivalent systems
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings
- Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes for complex part fabrication
- Skilled in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or similar for part design and tooling development
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding techniques
- Ability to utilize precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality control
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, tooling setup, and basic math skills necessary for machining calculations
- Experience working with CNC controls such as Fanuc or similar systems in a lean manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining principles, assembly processes, and safety protocols including forklift operation when necessary
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly and efficiently

Pay: $28.25 - $35.00 per hour
