Job Title: Corn Harvest Sorter
Job Description
As a Sorter, you will be responsible for managing 18 tables independently, ensuring the removal of all nonconforming materials such as husks, stalks, damaged or moldy products, rogues, off-types, and inert materials including weeds and refuse. This role requires standing for the entire shift and reaching across tables. The job requires keeping the work area clean and orderly while frequently engaging in standing, sitting, reaching motions with arms and hands, twisting at the waist, stooping, and the ability to communicate effectively. The environment includes exposure to continuous elevated noise levels and moving conveyors.
Responsibilities

Manage 18 tables independently.

Remove nonconforming materials such as husks, stalks, damaged/moldy products, rogues, off-types, and inert materials.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Stand for the entire shift and reach across tables.

Perform duties involving standing, sitting, reaching motions, twisting, stooping, and effective communication.

Adapt to an environment with elevated noise levels and moving conveyors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Why Work Here?
We offer a retention/bonus program where you can earn a $500 bonus at the end of the season, contingent upon completing the season. Additionally, there is a $50 bonus upon assignment completion. The company values career growth and has a history of moving sorters to other positions based on performance.
Work Environment
Work hours are from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with the expectation of overtime from Monday to Sunday, with one day off. Pay rates start at $17 for new employees and $17.50 for returning employees. A new plant manager is starting this week. The work environment is fast-paced and involves standing for long periods.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
