We are partnered with a supportive charter school network in North Chicago seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative educational team serving students across K–8th grade.
Position Overview
As a school-based SLP, you'll support students with a variety of communication needs while collaborating closely with educators, families, and related service providers. The school network is known for providing strong support to its clinicians and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
School Hours: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Setting: Onsite
What You'll Do
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to K–8th grade students
- Conduct evaluations and contribute to eligibility determinations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliant documentation
- Support students' communication skills across educational settings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License (IDFPR)
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- School-based experience preferred
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, but monolingual candidates are welcome
