Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and be proficient in using various diagnostic tools on Metrolink sites (passenger rail service). This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our equipment, ensuring that all mechanical operations run smoothly. The position requires some travel between different Metrolink sites. This is a prevailing wage position.
Responsibilities
- Inspection/minor maintenance of cranes, air compressors, and forklifts.
- Maintain of drop table.
- Minor maintenance of Canopy, panels, and handicap lifts.
- Inspection/minor maintenance of overhead and roll up doors.
- Maintain of pay loader and sanding system.
- Train wash maintenance
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve existing designs and processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role.
- Welding Certified
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments.
- A valid driver's license required for travel between job sites.

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
