Job Description:
RCI Destruction Run (“D-run”) Route Driver/Field Operations
Summary
Responsible for driving RCI records collection box truck, or comparable, to pick up & load boxed records and safely & securely deliver to RCI warehouse and/or recycle facility. Coordinates with Operations Coordinator for route management & implementation, interacts with customers, catalogs boxes, completes applicable paperwork, maintains clean & operable equipment, and assists with shredding when necessary.
Primary Responsibilities
· Safely operate box truck within standard operating procedures
· Plan and execute most efficient and effective routes utilizing maps and/or GPS
· Communicate with customers regarding pick up logistics
· Load only boxes accurately marked for destruction on pallet – do not include boxes with incorrect destruct year, etc.
· Catalog all boxes being loaded and shrink wrap boxes on pallet
· Securely transport pallets to pre-determined destination
Additional Responsibilities
· Inspect and properly maintain commercial box truck and associated equipment
· Assist with local Ranger Shredding business as necessary
· Help uphold a clean, functional warehouse
· Cooperate with management and all other RCI employees
· Remain flexible regarding other assigned responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Valid Texas Driver’s License
· Clean driving record
· Excellent customer relationship, communication, time management & interpersonal skills
· Effective, efficient, and profitable route logistics management
· Team player with great initiative
· Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
· FREQUENT OVERNIGHT TRAVEL REQUIRED
Preferred Requirements
· CDL
· Open road driving experience
· Route management/logistics experience
· Warehouse experience
· Customer service experience
