We are seeking an energetic and relationship-focused Home Health Account Executive to grow our referral network and strengthen relationships throughout the healthcare community.
The Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, rehabilitation facilities, case managers, social workers, discharge planners, and other healthcare referral partners.
The ideal candidate has healthcare marketing or business development experience, understands relationship-based referral development, and is comfortable spending significant time in the community representing the agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, physician offices, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, case managers, social workers, discharge planners, and other referral sources.
- Educate healthcare professionals and community partners about the agency's home health services and referral process.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to current and prospective referral sources.
- Identify new referral opportunities and develop strategies to expand the agency's referral network.
- Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with referral partners.
- Represent the agency at community events, networking opportunities, healthcare meetings, and professional events.
- Track referral activity and identify trends in referral volume and sources.
- Maintain accurate referral-source records, marketing activity logs, contacts, visits, and follow-up activities.
- Collaborate with intake, clinical, scheduling, and administrative teams to support a smooth referral and admission process.
- Communicate feedback from referral partners to agency leadership.
- Assist with community outreach and agency marketing initiatives.
- Maintain professional and ethical relationships with all referral partners.
Qualifications
- Healthcare marketing, home health, hospice, medical sales, physician liaison, or healthcare business development experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the home health industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Professional and confident when communicating with physicians, healthcare administrators, case managers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the community.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate marketing and referral activity documentation.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community outreach and facility visits.
Physical & Travel Requirements
This position requires regular travel to physician offices, hospitals, healthcare facilities, community organizations, networking events, and other referral locations. The employee must be able to perform routine community-based marketing activities and attend agency and community events as required.
Compliance & Competency Requirements
The Account Executive/Marketing Liaison is expected to:
- Complete required orientation and annual compliance training.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Follow ethical healthcare marketing and referral practices.
- Follow agency policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
- Maintain professional boundaries with referral sources.
- Accurately document referral-source contacts and marketing activities.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $70,764.47 to $82,174.09 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
