Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor such as moving supplies, equipment, and materials around the site
- Support concrete work by assisting with pouring, finishing, cutting, and formwork construction
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to carry out tasks like rebar installation, concrete cutting, and plastering
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to ensure accurate implementation of specifications
- Help with metal stud framing, tile laying, stucco application, caulking, and other finishing tasks as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations related to construction workplace safety to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating processes
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with concrete mixing, pouring, pumping, finishing, cutting, and formwork construction
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, and other construction equipment safely
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and proper use of safety gear in accordance with workplace safety regulations
- Skills in rebar installation, metal stud framing, tile laying, plastering, caulking, stucco application
- Strong understanding of construction site procedures including safety protocol adherence and working on diverse projects
