Position Overview
GOES Heating Systems is seeking a motivated and professional Entry-Level Boiler Account Manager to help grow customer relationships and sales throughout an assigned account list.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning a career in technical sales, HVAC, construction, mechanical equipment, or business development. Previous boiler sales experience is not required. We will provide product, industry, and sales training to the right candidate.
The successful candidate will work with mechanical contractors, engineers, facility managers, building owners, school districts, hospitals, municipalities, and industrial customers to help identify and support boiler and mechanical-equipment needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with new and existing customers throughout the assigned area.
- Make outbound calls and schedule customer meetings and jobsite visits.
- Assist with identifying boiler, burner, hydronic, and mechanical-equipment sales opportunities.
- Learn the company’s product lines, applications, sales processes, and customer base.
- Visit mechanical contractors, engineering firms, facilities, and project sites with senior sales representatives.
- Assist customers with basic product information, equipment selections, and project requirements.
- Help prepare quotations, proposals, submittals, and supporting sales documents.
- Follow up with customers regarding open quotations, project status, and upcoming opportunities.
- Maintain accurate customer information, sales activities, opportunities, and follow-up dates in the company CRM system.
- Coordinate with inside sales, estimating, operations, service, project management, and manufacturer representatives.
- Attend product training, sales meetings, trade shows, customer events, and industry-association meetings.
- Learn to read project plans, equipment schedules, specifications, and mechanical drawings.
- Support projects from the initial sales opportunity through order, delivery, startup, and customer follow-up.
- Meet established sales-activity, customer-contact, training, and revenue-development goals.
- Provide regular updates regarding customer activity, sales opportunities, and account development.
Qualifications
- No previous boiler sales experience is required.
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, construction, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical equipment, industrial equipment, or business development is helpful.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, trade-school education, or technical training is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Interest in learning technical products and mechanical systems.
- Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and willing to learn.
- Comfortable making outbound calls, meeting new customers, and visiting jobsites.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up consistently.
- Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn CRM, quotation, and sales-management software.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned area.
Training Provided
The selected candidate will receive training in:

- Burners, pumps, controls, and hydronic equipment
- Boiler-room and mechanical-system fundamentals
- Product selection and applications
- Reading plans, specifications, and equipment schedules
- Quotation and proposal preparation
- Customer-development and area-management techniques
- CRM and sales-pipeline management
- Jobsite safety and professional conduct
- Manufacturer product lines and competitive products
Performance Expectations
Success in this position will initially be measured by:

As the representative develops, performance will increasingly be measured by sales growth, booked orders, gross-profit performance, quote conversion, new accounts, and customer retention.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, professional, dependable, and eager to build a long-term career in technical sales. This person does not need to be a boiler expert on the first day but must be willing to learn, ask questions, follow up consistently, and build strong customer relationships.
A successful candidate will be comfortable working independently while also receiving coaching and collaborating with experienced salespeople, estimators, service technicians, engineers, and manufacturer representatives.
