Title: Clinical Director
Reports to: COO
Job Purpose:
Amanecer’s Clinical Director will oversee all clinical staff and service program departments. The Clinical Director will lead by example, upholding professional ethics and boundaries, and will not hesitate to take timely clinical action. Amanecer’s Clinical Director will supervise, evaluate, instruct, assist, educate, encourage, model, and provide feedback while ensuring the optimization of treatment for Amanecer’s client population. Clinical supervision is delivered within the supervisor's professional practice license and in accordance with ethical standards.
Hours:
This position is full-time. The Clinical Director is expected to start the work day no later than 8:30 am and will regularly work more than 40 hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversight of all clinical departments and services, which include, but are not limited to, the intake process, assessment, programming, crisis stabilization, individual therapy, family therapy, substance abuse counseling, Behavioral Management, Comprehensive Community Support, and Wraparound.
· Ensuring compliance with procedures and policies, accuracy, and quality of clinical documentation to ensure passing of all audits and all of Amanecer’s programs.
· Provides clinical supervision weekly and training for all clinical staff with structured processes, provides consistent supervision meetings, and treatment team facilitation with appropriate documentation and tracking of all oversight activities.
· Assists clinical staff by supervising complex cases, ensuring aftercare planning and crisis stabilization.
· Approves assessments, treatment plans, crisis plans, discharges, and any other documents within 5-7 working days upon receiving the paperwork.
· Ability to establish program goals and objectives and to assess programs toward their achievement.
· Collaborates with all program supervisors and upper management to develop annual clinical strategic plans for consistent refinement of clinical services.
· Application of quality strategies aimed at meeting clinical benchmarks for quality and productivity (weekly billing goal) and audit deficiencies.
· Conducting and explaining performance reviews and developing a professional plan with each supervisee.
· Advises, motivates, and disciplines clinical staff as needed and refers advanced issues to upper management and human resources.
· Addresses client grievances within three working days by following Amanecer’s grievance procedures.
· Collaborates with other community providers for referral purposes for all of Amanecer’s programs.
· Demonstrates consistent and efficient communication with upper management to address any barriers, conflicts, and needs that arise.
· Communicates with COO on a regular basis via one-to-one meetings, emails, and/or phone calls.
· Participates in agency/state-mandated annual training sessions.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Master's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, counseling, substance abuse counseling, or a closely related field.
· Appropriate licensure: LCSW, LCSW-S, LPCC, LPCC-S, LMFT, AAMFT
· Knowledgeable of the cultural, social, and economic background of our diverse populations being served and their communities (Sunland Park, Santa Teresa, Anthony, Chaparral, Vado, Las Cruces) at Amanecer.
· 2+ years of supervisory experience in a similar role
· Knowledgeable of Supervision Models
· Conflict Resolution Skills Proficiency
· Time Management Skills
· Demonstrated excellent skills in written and verbal communication
· Proficient with MS Office, Word, and Excel.
Other Potential Requirements
· Bilingual (Spanish/English)
· Availability to work evening and weekend hours
· Possession of First Aid and CPR certification
· CPI Certification
· Fingerprint Clearance
· Valid Driver’s License
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; reach for tools and objects with hands and arms; stop, kneel, and crouch; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to see up close and at a distance, use peripheral vision and depth perception, and look at, read, and use a computer for long periods of time.
Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
