Duties
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies and handling basic food handling duties under supervision.
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items for food service operations.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing dishes during busy service periods to enhance guest experience.
- Follow proper procedures for waste disposal and recycling to promote an environmentally friendly workspace.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential!
- Basic understanding of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Experience with food service or catering environments is a plus; familiarity with banquet settings is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy trays or containers.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary operations.
