Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Line Mechanic to join our Production Maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and ensuring the efficient operation of production equipment. The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and is committed to workplace safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
- Work with:
- Positive displacement fillers
- Pressure gravity fillers
- Shrink bundlers
- Labeling equipment
- Other production machinery
- Minimize equipment downtime by diagnosing mechanical issues quickly.
- Follow all company safety policies, GMP, and OSHA standards.
- Participate in monthly safety meetings and required company training.
- Complete equipment inspections and document maintenance activities.
- Work closely with supervisors and production staff to keep production running efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Line Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar role preferred.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read measuring devices and use hand tools.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Frequently use hands, fingers, and arms to operate tools and equipment.
- Occasionally lift 25–50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, crouch, twist, and reach as needed.
- Must successfully complete required pre-employment drug and/or alcohol screening.
Work Environment
- Indoor manufacturing facility.
- Exposure to seasonal hot and cold temperatures.
- Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals and production materials.
- Safety equipment and PPE required.
